I wish I had something profound to say - but sometimes there are just no words to express what we feel. I hope you are having a great time of "getting away" and I hope that God's peace will surround you as you see His majesty in the creation around you. Continue to have hope, as hopeless as some things may seem - our God is an awesome God.

Hi Loren and Felicia, I just got onto your blog. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I pray for you that you will feel God near during this time of apprehension when you don't quite know how the road ahead will look. I am glad you could have a get away.

Walking through the valley,........ and walk through we shall. With you, we will endure the pain and we will share the burden of your sorrow.............what's more, we are not alone. Apparently, there is comfort, and protection, from a staff and a rod............as we walk through. Much love and unending courage to you both.xo

I missed talking with you this morning at church. I just want you to know that I am upholding you in my prayers daily. Arnie said to say a special hello to you too and to let you know that while he's up on those "lovely" winter roads that he's thinking about you and praying for you.

A quote from a most unlikely source - seemed to capture a part of this journey:

Grief can destroy you --or focus you.
You can decide a relationship was all for nothing if it had to end in death, and you alone.OR you can realize that every moment of it had more meaning than you dared to recognize at the time, so much meaning it scared you, so you just lived,
just took for granted the love and laughter of each day,
and didn't allow yourself to consider the sacredness of it.

But when it's over and you're alone, you begin to see that it wasn't just a movie and a dinner together,
not just watching sunsets together,
not just scrubbing a floor or washing dishes together or
worrying over a high electric bill.
It was everything,
it was the why of life, every event and precious moment of it.

The answer to the mystery of existence is the love you shared sometimes so imperfectly, and when the loss wakes you to the deeper beauty of it, to the sanctity of it, you can't get off your knees for a long time, you're driven to your knees not by the weight of the loss but by gratitude for what preceded the loss.

And the ache is always there, but one day not the emptiness, because to nurture the emptiness, to take solace in it, is to disrespect the gift of life."

We are with you in prayer all the way - even though time has gone past since we last saw you. God is our Healer, and He will "healeth thee" as the song says. Stay strong. Brynn, Cammy, Alyssa, it's been so long since we saw your kitchen stools with the A, B, and C on it! Do you still have them? We have lots of good memories and will have lots more.
Tony & Marie@ 2:13pm 03-18-2010
Our expectations and our hopes and dreams are just that. We want to help you carry them to what ever the Lord has in mind for you. May he ever be there for you as you go through this time of the unknown!!
